Founder

My name is Doyinsola Afolabi, born and raised in Nigeria. I studied Finance and graduated top of my class. My career started in Investment banking which was a clear path at the time but I had a growing passion for makeup, this wasn't just a passion for makeup but the service and essence that comes from using makeup.

My knowledge of makeup was introduced to me by my father who found delight in buying makeup products for my mother and I, this ignited my growing passion for makeup, and I slowly became a lover of makeup and beauty. To fully grasp the concept of beauty and its essence in makeup I decided to become a makeup artist, My mother’s entrepreneurial spirit inspired this pivot and I would call myself an investment banker turned beautypreneur.

During my career as a makeup artist, I had the opportunity of trying many beauty products from around the world. However, I realized that despite the abundant and diverse beauty scene, many existing products were ill-suited for the women of color, also the inaccessibility of beauty products due to financial status, and age inspired me to bridge the gap and improve the beauty industry.

I consider my journey in the makeup industry to be a beautiful one as I have collaborated with many beauty professionals and impacted over 20,000 women and counting in the beauty industry by providing make-up products, holding and sponsoring make-up classes.

As the founder of DIDI BEAUTY CO. I can’t over emphasize the benefits of my knowledge in finance and makeup, coupled with my entrepreneurial skills which has helped us scale through the hurdles associated with building a brand to reckon with in the beauty industry.

I believe makeup is for everyone irrespective of race, status, culture, age, or religion and at DIDI BEAUTY CO. we continue pushing the limitations to provide high-quality yet affordable makeup products.
